Heversham and Hincaster

The Heversham and Hincaster Neighbourhood Plan Referendum will take place on Thursday, 16 February 2017. If you live in the parish of Heversham or Hincaster and are not registered to vote you can do so by registering online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote by Tuesday, 31 January 2017.

New applications for postal votes, or amendments to existing postal votes must be received by 5pm on Wednesday, 1 February, 2017.

New applications to vote by proxy must be received by 5pm on Wednesday, 8 February 2017.

Results

Coniston

The first neighbourhood planning referendum in South Lakeland was for Coniston Parish and was held on Thursday, 28 January 2016.

In answer to the question:

Do you want the Lake District National Park Authority to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Coniston to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?

Number cast in favour of a 'Yes': 168

Number cast in favour of a 'No': 43

Total number of spoilt votes: 0

Turnout: 30.71%

The result declared is therefore that more than half of those voting have voted in favour of the Coniston Neighbourhood Plan.
